The humble beginnings of Bouldin & Bouldin, PLC, created a legacy of service that spans four generations and more than 150 years. Since 1868, the firm’s attorneys have advocated for the rights of Tennessee clients in a variety of complex legal matters.

He is admitted to practice before all courts of the state of Tennessee and is board-certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the state of Tennessee and the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He maintains an “AV” preeminent peer rating by Martindale-Hubbell.

Four Generations Of Tennessee Attorneys

Judge Granville Sumner Ridley founded Bouldin & Bouldin, PLC, after the close of the Civil War. His son, Granville Sumner Ridley, Jr., soon joined after graduating from Vanderbilt University and serving in the United States Army during World War I. During his career, he served as a Special Justice on the Supreme Court of Tennessee.

Mr. Ridley’s nephew, Granville Sumner Ridley Bouldin, joined the firm in 1953. Mr. Bouldin graduated from Washington and Lee University and spent two years as an officer in the Judge Advocate General’s Corp of the Marine Corps. In 1988, Mr. Bouldin’s son, Granville Sumner Ridley Bouldin, Jr., joined the firm after graduating from the University of Tennessee.
